Vladimir Cast and Crew Discuss Julia May Jonas’s Series Adaptation
I had the pleasure of creating a series of illustrations for Vladimir, featured in Tudum’s Book to Screen series exploring the adaptation of Julia May Jonas’s novel for television.
I was especially drawn to the story’s atmosphere of desire, obsession, and tension. While reading the novel, I wanted to capture the strange mix of beauty and destructiveness in desire, and the feeling of an obsession that slowly deepens and takes over.
It was a fascinating story to work with, and I really enjoyed exploring that raw and unsettling atmosphere through the images.
